About the event

Growing since its beginning, this event is now the world’s largest offshore wind energy conference and exhibition. In the past this event has been extremely successful due to wide-spread attendance from the whole of the supply chain and cross-over between industries within the offshore sector.

This year, the event is taking place in Frankfurt in Germany. What better place to talk about financing offshore wind energy than Europe’s biggest financial capital? For three days, this international business location will also become the capital for offshore wind trade and knowledge exchange, where participants will be able to network with leading players from over 60 countries. 

The 2011 edition saw speeches from Günther Oettinger, the EU’s Energy Commissioner, Fergus Ewing, Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism for Scotland and Christian Kjaer, CEO of EWEA, as well as high-level panel debates and in-depth sessions on sea-based wind turbines, enhanced grids and project financing.
